Huma Abedin, the former longtime aide to Hillary Clinton, and Alex Soros, the son of billionaire political activist George Soros, are engaged to be married, the couple confirmed to Vogue.
Abedin, who served as Clinton's deputy chief of staff during her time as Secretary of State, has been a prominent figure in Democratic politics for years.
Soros, a graduate of Brown University, is the second-youngest son of George Soros, a longtime donor to liberal causes through his Open Society Foundations organization.
The couple's engagement was first reported by Page Six, which noted that they have been dating for several years.
Abedin and Soros have not yet announced a wedding date.
